Nature Based Therapy
Nature Based Therapy, or as it is sometimes known, Ecotherapy, has been practised by many cultures for hundreds of years, and is starting to be recognised in Western Cultures. Spending time in the outdoors provides humans with many health benefits including reduced headaches, migraines, and nervous system arousal, lower hormone and stress levels, decreases in anger, anxiety, frustration, and depression.
Furthermore, it can increase our pain threshold, self-esteem, mood, and immune system function, and so the natural environment is an important tool for healing. People who spend regular time in the natural environment enjoy improvements in their cognitive, psychological, emotional, and physical wellbeing, and that is why Peaceful Paddocks Wellness Services is so excited to offer therapeutic services in the stunning, nature rich, natural bushland in the Lower King area.
Nature Based Therapy sessions are conducted in the natural environment all year round. At Peaceful Paddocks Wellness Services, we work in a collaborative way, and so I will work with you and you will be invited to attend a 45-minute consultation with me during which we will discuss your needs, goals, and our program.
During your Nature Based Therapy sessions you will enjoy moving at your own pace, through the exquisite natural bushland, which is flourishing with life from the tiniest insects, to the most magnificent trees. I will work with you to develop session plans that are based entirely on your goals and what you want to achieve.
