Parenting Support

Children can sometimes have behaviours that parents and caregivers struggle to manage, and given that children learn to manage their emotions by learning and watching the people who are closest to them, it is my goal to help parents and caregivers learn strategies that support them to be the best possible parents they can.

 

Highly regarded psychologist Dr John Gottman found that emotion coaching helps parents to raise happy, resilient, connected and confident children. You do not need to be a perfect parent; you just need to be open to learning new skills in emotional intelligence, that will improve your parenting skills. Emotion coaching is a skill that can help parents from different backgrounds and situations to build better relationships with their children, to problem solve, and to set appropriate boundaries.

 

As a participant, you will learn how to teach your child about their feelings and emotions, what they are and how they work, how to regulate through strong emotions, and how to successfully problem solve through difficult situations. It is my goal to provide one-on-one sessions to parents and caregivers that help them to raise emotionally strong children, in happy and safe homes.

Parenting support sessions are conducted in our workspaces or your home, all year round. At Peaceful Paddocks Wellness Services, we will work with you in a collaborative way to help you become the parent you want to be, no matter what your family situation.
